Another, Another the name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site
First off, I have searched around and I think my issue is a bit different, so im going ahead and posting my questions. Please forgive me if this has been answered.
The person who originally created the domain at my work shortened the domain name for internal use. This has worked just fine for a long time, until I decided to register the SSL Cert on the exchange server. To clarify, the real domain is something like
this mytechnology.com (Not real domain). They registered the domain as mytech.com internally. The problem is that we do not own mytech.com Now, outlook is not happy. it is looking for servername.mytech.com/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml when it really
truely should be servername.mytechnology.com/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml. Now I am getting a certificate popup for everyone in the company. I looked online, and found that renaming the internal domain is one of the fixes. I would really not like to go through
that process as im sure i will find a lot of wonderful suprises on the way. My domain is running on 2003 servers and my exchange verison is 2007 running on server 2008. Everything works perfect externally. I get this only internally with outlook. Any
help is very appreciated.
