Any way to Cancel the Lync Meeting portion of a Calendar Entry?

Wasn't really sure where to post this but we have someone who setup a Lync meeting within Outlook.  That puts in some links to join the meeting and things like that.  They then decided they want to change it to use Webex instead.  However, we can't find any way to remove the Lync Meeting portion of the invite and replace it with Webex.  We can add the Webex info but if we delete the Lync meeting portion, we get an error and Outlook puts it back in.

Only thing I've found we can do is cancel the whole meeting and set up a new one but we'd rather not do that if we don't have to.

Is there any way to take a Lync Meeting that was created through Outlook and change it into a regular meeting by somehow getting rid of the Lync related things so we can add in our Webex stuff instead?

Thanks.

Hi,

I did a test, and found a workaround which may meet your request.

When you update the Lync Meeting by deleting the "Join Lync Meeting" and other Lync content, Outlook will warn you:

"We found a problem with your Lync Meetings. We're attempting to fix it."

This feature is basically based on the Lync Meeting Add-in, in Outlook 2013 it is Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013. If we disable the add-in and remove the Lync related content, Outlook won't warn you any more.

To disable the add-in, take Outlook 2013 for example, click FILE -> Options -> Add-Ins -> Select "COM Add-ins", click Go -> Untick "Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013" -> OK.

Then Open the Lync Meeting on your Calendar, modify the body as you need, send the update. Once this is done, you can re-enable the add-in.
