Please collect the following info for troubleshooting: 1. Version: windows server and client, outlook 2. Do you have any internet profile configured on your OL? 3. Which mail client are users using now, Outlook or outlook express? 4. Affected user's scope, only few users or all users? 5. Does affected user have MAPI and POP3 accounts in same profile? Notes: The code 0x7da in the error means "ecMessageNotRenderable". An email in exchange IS can be saved in Rich Text format, which is the format used in MAPI. In order to be transferred via POP3, the email should be converted to MIME. In case exchange failed to render the message into the RFC822 standard for Internet text messages, the error 1023 with code 0x7da will be logged in application log. Possible solution: POP3 client stops responding in Exchange Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816896/en-us Troubleshooting: Step 1: create new profile on outlook express for affected user, and then check error Step 2: create separate profile for both MAPI and POP3 accounts if they were in same profile right now Step 3: moving the user's mailbox to another SG's store Notes: remove the problematic item in the user's mailbox to eliminate this error. However, it's not easy to locate that message, we can try to fix issue by move mailbox, during move, exchange will scan all items and remove corrupted one a. locate affected user account in ADUC b. right-click user->select "Exchange Tasks"->select "Move Mailbox" c. select Same Administrative Group and another mailbox store (store in different storage group preferred) d. select Skip corrupted items and create a failure report and finish
