Appointments from outside not showing up correctly
Hello all! I have a Windows 2000 Server with Exchange 2000 we use Outlook XP, when a person from the outside (vendor, other companies, etc.) sends a request for an appointment the request comes in generic with no accept, tenative or decline buttons. What we get is: When: Monday, April 23, 2007 12:00 PM-12:30 PM (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada). Where: test *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Should be for noon. With just reply, reply to all, forward buttons. This particular vendor has Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2007. We can send them an appointment and it shows up correctly. Is this problem because of the difference in versions? Is there anything that can be done to fix this without upgrading exchange to 2007? I tried upgrading my Outlook to 2007 and it looked the same coming in, so assuming it has to do with Exchange. I also have a firewall but have monitored the incoming message and there is nothing being stripped or not allowed - comes through fine. Any help woudl be appreicated thanks! SKR

Have a look at your settings for "Exchange rich-text format" under Global Settings -> Internet Message Formats in Exchange System Manager. If it is set to "never use" it might explain why Calendar formatting is lost. For more information see this link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996958.aspx Tony www.activedir.org
