Appointments not delivered, sortof (Exchange 2003)
Hi everyone, I have a weird one here:I had an "employee" and a "boss" - the employee had been a delegate for boss. Boss long ago removed delegate, but employee still received meeting requests on behalf of boss. I took a look at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/253557 and there was no "Schedule + EMS Interface" listing in the Inbox associated message field, nor did it appear in any of the associated messages as an attribute.So...I dug around some more: insid the Root -> Schedule folder, there WAS a "Schedule + EMS Interface" message. I checked 3 other mailboxes, none of them had this field, so I removed the message and it's resolved the issue with the old employee receiving meeting requests. The problem is that all meeting requests that go to boss no longer appear in the inbox - the only way I even know they're there is by 1) message tracking reports them being delivered; 2) I can see the meeting requests in the "Schedule" folder when I use MDBView or MFC MAPI.So, any suggestions on how I should resolve this new issue (the issue of not receiving messages to the inbox)? Thanks in advance, this is a fun one!

Hello, Did you try by deleting stale delegation rule from mailbox by opening it with MFCMapi instead of MDBView? Make sure that your outlook profile is not configured in cache mode. Check this thread for the procedure which Idescribed earlier. http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3647697&SiteID=17

There was no stale rule inside Root Container -> Top of Information Store -> Inbox when I looked in either MDBView or MFCMAPI. There was a stale rule inside Root Container -> Schedule, which I removed (and which appears in no other mailboxes I've inspected so far). So the issue of the old delegate receiving meeting requests is solved. But now the original account ("boss") does not receive meeting requests--or to be more precise, the meeting requests never appear in his inbox, though I can see the meeting requests inside the Root Container -> Schedule. Thanks for the initial suggestion: any further ideas?

Hi, Please attempt the following method: Remove the ReceiveFolder Association by: ==============================a. Launch MFCMapi against the mailbox with an Online mode profileb. Choose Session -> Logon and Display Store tablec. Choose the Profile and choose OKd. Double click the mailbox storee. Expand Root containerf. Ensure the Receive Folder association is set by going to MDB -> Display -> Receive Folder Table.f1. If the mapping is set, you should see one object in this list with the Message Class of IPM.SCHEDULE.MEETINGf2. Close the Receive Folder Tableg. Right-click "Schedule" and choose "Set Receive Folder"h. Enter "IPM.SCHEDULE.MEETING" in the box (without the quotes)i. Click "Delete Association"j. Click OK.k. Repeat step "f" above to ensure that the IPM.SCHEDULE.MEETING association is gone.MORE INFORMATION=======================252800 XCLN: Meeting Request Goes to Former Delegatehttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;252800166582 XCLN: Delegates Stop Receiving Schedule+ Meeting Requestshttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;166582 Mike
