Assistance required........Calendar scheduling question
I have set up Exchange with a public calendar to post all of our company courses that we run. I allocate these courses to other instructors calendars and they accept or reject the appointment. Every time I do this the appointment is created in my calendar as well as I am the meeting organiser. Is there a way to set this up so the course (meeting)does not show in my calendar. It is very confusing if i have not only my courses but other trainers courses in my calendar. especially when there are 3 of us that can book the appointments. If this is possible please advise me how to change this.I am using a hosted version of exchange through Intermedia. (I dont know if this changes anything. Thanks in anticipation of your assistance.Shane

Is this a resource mailbox? If so, you can give yourself permissions to that mailbox and you can create meetings on behalf of that mailbox:http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA100750921033.aspx#5If this is a public folder, than there is no way to change that. Resource mailboxes are always recommended.

ThanksIt is set up as a public folder. If I set up a resource mailbox. Will this provide similar calnder operations as my current public calendar? Do I then have to let that person see my calendar???

Yes, it will be similar to a public folder cal, but better -they will get to take advantage of free/busy as well. You will have to of course give your users the needed client perms on the resource mailbox calendar so they can access it - and to view the calendar they will need to open it as a shared calendar. If this Exchange 2007, you should create it as a resource mailbox:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124374.aspxManaging Resource Mailboxes
