Attaching a resource mailboxes to all users
Hi
I have been asked to manage, that every user will have calendar groups (Rooms/Cars/...) in his mailbox calendar and that I will attach resource mailboxes to it.
Example:
User 1 Calendar:
Cars
- Car 1
- Car 2
Rooms
- Room 1
- Room 2
User 2 Calendar:
Cars
- Car 1
- Car 2
Rooms
- Room 1
- Room 2
There are over 300 mailboxes, so I would like to ask, if there is any tool/script, that might help. I have tried to find something, but it looks, that it will be necessary to call some webservices to achieve this goal (and I am not very experienced in this
area). Thanks in advance for your help

We are migrating public folders to resource mailboxes and we want to make the list of available resources visible to each user to allow him to see the calendar view of utilization of each of resource mailbox. My english is not good, but I hope you understand.
We can not ask each user to add 50 resource mailboxes to his account...

Hi Michal,
Which version of Exchange server and Outlook do you use?
"make the list of available resources visible to each user to allow him to see the calendar view of utilization of each of resource mailbox"
When you create a meeting request, you can user Scheduling Assistant to see the Free/busy information of resource, but I think you have to add them one by one.
By the way, you can you can create room list distribution groups to generate a list of building locations so that Outlook 2010 users can select a building and get information about room availability without having to manually add all the rooms
in the building in Exchange 2010:
Create a Room List Distribution Group

About the tool/script, suggest you can go to Development Forum to seek the solution:

Hi Frank. Thank you for your recommendation. I am going to study your links :)
Also: We use Exchange 2010 sp1 rp2 with Outlook 2010

I would create a DDG instead of just a standard DG and set a condition like domain users and do what Frank suggest.

I guess DDG is only option from over here.
Or if you have time you can dig in to Outlook PRF file and see if you can achive the same.

Thank you. That might really simplify the process.
