Attachment sent as EXCEL but received as PDF
Excel (2007) files are being attached to an email using Outlook and Exchange server and sent to a local user (within the same office) When this local user received the email the attachment are pdf format. Excel is installed on this destop. If you save the documents to the desktop then "open with" Excel is not an option. What is the best solution to resolve? Uninstall all Adobe applications (free ones) then reinstall Windows Suite for only Excel? Thanks! Monte

Please answer Anil’s question. Does the issue occur when trying to send the Excel attachment to other user in the same Office? Does the issue occur when using OWA to receive the email? If the issue only occurs on certain user, we can eliminate the Exchange side cause. To troubleshoot the issue, please perform the following steps. 1. Login on the same user mailbox on another machine and check the result. 2. Upgrade the virus definition and the problematic machine. Thanks.Novak Wu-MSFT
