Auto Delete Old Mail in Exchange Server 2003
We are using Exchange Server 2003 standard. I would like to know if there is a way to automatically delete all mail older than three years for all users on our server. I've tried searching google and bing to find a solution but have had no luck. I'd prefer to use a built in exchange feature if that is possible but would be more than willing to purchase a third party software. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Use the Mailbox Manager feature. This will get you started but search for other "Mailbox Manager"articles if you like.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319188Neil Hobson, Exchange MVP

You can configure mailbox manager policy to control mailboxes for auto purge based on age and size.

Thanks. We've set it up and are going to have it generate a report first. Thanks for all the help!

We configured the manager to give us a report of all emails older than three years and it worked. Next step is to get approval and actually delete the old emails. Thanks all of you for your help!
