I have individual archive settings set in every folder like Inbox, sent items, etc. Do I still have to go to options -> advanced and set up autoarchive settings there? Would they override my per-folder settings?

Hi,
The AutoArchive feature has a two-step process. The AutoArchive Settings option under FILE>Options>Advance is used to turn On the AutoArchive Feature, and defines the default archive settings. The option under the "FOLDER" tab in the ribbon is used to set the AutoArchive Properties for each specific folder.
So if you've specified different archive settings for each folder, then you don't need to set it again under FILE>Options>Advanced.
If you click the "Apply these settings to all folders now" button on the AutoArchive dialog under FILE>Options>Advanced, it will override your per-folder settings with default archive settings.
