Autocomplete in Office 2013

Hi

my organisation has recently started the Office 2013 pilot project.

Autocomplete for Outlook 2013 doesnt seem to work properly. In Outlook 2007, if I had previously sent an email to Joe Soap, if I compete an email and type any of the characters  in Joe Soap name (.ie Jo, So, Ap etc), his name would be listed. In  Outlook 2013, i have to type the 1st few character of his name,  in its order, for this to work. (i.e I have to type Jo..., for autocomplete to pick his name up)

Does anyone know how i can fix this so that automplete works for any character combination?

Hi,

Is the autocomplete cache created by your new Outlook 2013 or imported from NK2 file?

If the latter, try to clean your autocomplete list first and then check if the behavior is changed.

Method 1:  File > Options > Mail > Send message section > Empty autocomplete list.

Method 2:

  1. Prepare Outlook to run without Cached Exchanged Mode;
  2. Exit Outlook;
  3. Open the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook folder;
  4. Right-click the RoamCache folder, click Rename, and change the folder name to old-RoamCache.
  5. Start Outlook;
  6. Turn on Cache Exchange Mode;
  7. Exit and then restart Outlook.
