Autodiscover Service failed completely on Exchange 2007
Hi,We have recently migrated Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. After the migration, staffs report they cannot see others busy/free info from Calendar view. This happens on both Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 clients. For Outlook 2007 clients, it should have something to do with the Availability Service, so Iran following tests: [PS]C:\Users\user\Desktop>Test-OutlookWebServices-Identitytom@chicken.com|fl Id:1003 Type:Information Message:AbouttotestAutoDiscoverwiththee-mailaddresstom@chicken.com. Synchronizing public folder content can only occur from a server which holds a replica of that public folder.I assume this error tell me I need to run the replica from that old Exchange 2003 server. However, somehow that old server has been blowed away. Now without the old public folder, how can I fix the calendar busy/free info for those staffs using Outlook 2003 without upgrade them to Outlook 2007?

Thanks Leif,I finally sorted the issue out. Here is the cause of the issue and fix:Cause of the issue: 1..NET Framework update is not installed, this cause Outlook 2007 clients are not able to see free/busy time.2. Public Folder replicate target for existing email accounts are pointing to thelegacy Exchange 2003 group First Administrative Group, which is no longerexisted on the new Exchange 2007 server. This cause Outlook 2003 clients are not able to see free/busy time. I used ADSIEditor to user object attribute LegacyExchangeDN. Used Get-PublicFolder to check the public folder replicate target.Fix:1.Installed .Net2.0 framework Update. After that Outlook 2007 clients can view free/busy time.2. Added new Public Folder entry: EX:/o=Organizationname/ou=First Administrative Groupunder Exchange 2007 Public Folder via command Set-publicFolder.That's it!!!
