Automatic Public Calendar item propagation to subfolders
I have recently upgraded from SBS 2003 to SBS 2011 and have something that
'broke' in the transition that I cannot seem to figure out how to fix. The
client has a public calendar set up with subfolders that under SBS 2003 were
configured to automatically propagate the items based on the first two
letters in the calendar item description. For example, one of the
subfolders is 'DB' and any item in the master public calendar that starts
with 'DB' in the description will also appear under the subfolder 'DB'.
Only the items that start with 'DB' in the description will appear in the
'DB' subfolder. The only rules-based propagation that I can find apply to
messages only and not calendar items. Can anyone point me in the right
direction to fix this? Thanks for your help.

Hi John,
What do you mean by "a public calendar set up with subfolders "?
How does this user propagate the items in SBS 2003?

I have a public folder set up called 'Firm Calendar' that is configured for calendar items. Under the Firm Calendar, I have subfolders that contain the initials of the people (DB in the example listed above). When one of the assistants enters
an item in the Firm Calendar, the first two letters of the entry correspond to the initials of the individual who is associated with that calendar item. The subfolders corresponding to those first two letters would automatically have that calendar
item propagated to that subfolder. That is what I am trying to figure out what 'broke'.
This was originally set up on an older version of SBS with Exchange 5.5 and we have migrated to SBS 2003 and now SBS 2011. When we migrated to SBS 2003, everything went smoothly. Now since going to 2011, this functionality ceased to work.
Thanks for any guidance you can provide in solving this issue.

I haven't heard anything from you on this. Any clue how I can get this functionality restored?
