Automatic Updates repeating same updates after successful install
Hi, We are running Exchange Server 2007 on a Windows Server 2003 R2, Standard 64bit SP2, which is prompting me to install the same updates repeatedly after aparent successful installs of the updates. There are five updates, which are: KB979909, KB982524, KB982168, KB983583 and KB241841 that are all related to various versions of .NET. I don't think it is the updates themselves but rather a switch somewhere telling Automatic Updater that the updates have been installed successfuly. I have tried rebooting after install, stopping and restarting all services manually and installed them roughly 73 times, but still get promted shortly afterwards to install them again. I am actually more woried that these five are blocking future updates as I have not received any others since this has been happening (2 to 4 weeks). Any help or suggestions are most appreciated. Cheers, Steve

I have some solutions to the repeating installation of updates problem on one of my non-Exchange sites. http://wuauclt.info/troubleshooting.asp Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources

Thanks, The suggestions below lead me to my own resolution by unchecking the updates, then selecting never to remind me of them. I then downloaded the three that we not listed in my Add Remove list. (I came to the idea from another, as it was suggested to uninstall the three installations of .Net 1.1, 2.0 and 3.5 and reinstall them from scratch) Installed each separately and now hoping that they do not annoy me again. Cheers, Steve
