You can in Outlook if you're referring to Outlook tasks. When you go into the Outlook task you can update with % complete and then it will prompt you to send the update. Sukh

In outlook, I have to press "send update status" button manually, then fill receiver address. Anyway to send update report to configured address automatically when user save the updated task?

This is how it works. If user A creates a task and assigns it to User B. User B will then accept the task. When User B updates the task progress and selects "send update status" the From: and To: field is populated with the correct addresses. Even if you chaneg the status or Complete %. This is still the same. As User A has assigned the task to User B. User B should be the one providing status updates, not User A. SukhSukh

Hi, In outlook 2007, if you want to track your process on the task, open the task, in the Status, Priority and % Complete boxes, enter the value that you want. And send email to the specified mail address. Thank you for your reply. Actually, some of my employees do not have the habit of "selects [send update status]", so I need outlook to complete "selects "send update status"" automatically. Moreover, I need the "status update report" be sent to more addresses beside its assigner. Thanks superZZ
