BCC Rule
Hello everyone,
I have been trying to setup my WM6 devise to sync the "sent items" from about 5-6 POP3 accounts and my primary exchange. It turns out this is not possible with WM6. The workaround I have found is to setup another POP account and BCC that account on every email I send from my WM6 phone that is not my primary exchange account. I can then (theoretically) setup a rule in outlook to move all messages sent to the BCC address to the "sent items" and mark them as read.
There is a problem though. This works only if the bcc email address is in the "To" field, not the "BCC" field. I cannot find a rule option to trigger when a certain email address is BCC'd... I thought that it would work with the "to" because I did thought Outlook saw all incoming mail as being in the "To" field since it is coming to me, but that is not the case.
How can I setup this rule to see the BCC'd address?
Thanks!

Clarify: You want to sync the Send Items folder on mobile with your outlook, right? Please correct me if theres misunderstanding
Send Items folder is always empty since it wont sync by default
Herere the steps to sync it - 559325
Collect info:
1. Who provides this ActiveSync service for you, ISP or your company?
2. Which version of exchange do you use?
Notes: You cannot set up rule based on BCC address, as default value of BCC is an empty string [AA487617]

James,
Thanks for the reply.
To clarify, the "sent items" does have items in it, BUT only those sent by my primary address when sending from my phone. If I send an email using my phone via one of my POP3 accounts (not my primary exchange), that item does not end up in my sent items folder. That is the problem. FYI, if I send an email using outlook on my PC, it DOES end up in my sent items since exchange and POP accounts share the same inbox, sent items, ect.
Info:
1. I am using a hosted exchange service through Sherweb. Activesync is free. Mobile connection is via AT&T wireless.
2. 2007 exchange, 2007 outlook on desktop and laptop, and WM6.0 on the phone.
Based on this setup, you can see what I am trying to accomplish... BCC an account that my outlooks are setup to check. Auto move those messages to my "sent items." so that when I send a message through one of my POP accounts using the phone, I can BCC that address and the next time outlook turns on, it will shift the messages to my "sent items". My outlook sent items DOES sync with my mobile phone.
Thanks!

The rule wont apply for BCC
As the sent mails of your other accounts didnt enter to Sent Items folder, I want to confirm if those accounts servers was also exchange. As different server may not provide same feature as exchange

James,
All sent emails, regardless of account, go to my sent items when I send the email using my desktop or laptop running Outlook 2007. This is because all email accounts are setup under the same outlook profile. The problem is the mobile phone. WM6.0 sets up each POP3 account almost as if they are different profiles. Unlike Outlook XP through 2007, WM Mobile Outlook does not place all emails in the same inbox, nor does it allow you to select a "from address" like Outlook does. Each account is selected in the main "messages" window of WM6 to be managed completely independently of all other accounts and each POP account has its own inbox, sent items, quarantine, ect. It is not possible to setup multiple Exchange accounts with Mobile Outlook. So, when I send an email with my WM6 devise, that email goes to that accounts sent items, not my main outlook "sent items." Because of this, I does not get synced via my exchange server...
Are there any plug-ins to allow rules to recognize BCC messages?

Hi, DBCox, it looks like a Windows Mobile issue rather than an exchange issue
You may try to use the Windows Mobile forum which would be the best place for seeking solution
