BPOS: user upload local pst to online service?
Hi team,we are planning to migrate exchange 2003 to BPOS. for users who have downloaded the pst to local hdd, is it possible to let them upload the local pst to online service by themselves after migration to BPOS is done?so that they won't lose data if
the hdd corrupted.thanks

There is no conduit to upload PST files directly into BPOS. What you can do is have the user set up their Outlook profile, then run an import of the PST into their live BPOS mail account. Additionally, if you use the hosted archiving service from BPOS you
can then archive your mail into an online archive.

Hi Jorge, I have a question about PST, for example, I have PST of my users saved in their own PC's, I'm going to buy exchange online archiving, how can I upload its PST to my online archiving?

Daniel,
Using the current version you would have to ship media with the PST's:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg191812.aspx
In the new version which is tied into Office 365 users can upload their PST files to their Outlook account and the archiving policy will move the data you set as 'archive data' the same way you do with Exchange 2010.

Hi Jorge!
@ kongfupanda, if you haven’t started yet, you’d actually be going to Office 365 – not BPOS.
And the PST upload tool is almost out:

Nice, thanks Mike, I have been helping Kung fu out in the past and know they are currently on BPOS. That being said it will be better to wait until your tenant is moved to O365 then deal with the archives :)
