Hi all. We have an Ex2003 sp2two node cluster running on win2k3 sp2 Ed. When we try to backup exchange using NTbackup we get the following error Backup StatusOperation: BackupActive backup destination: FileMedia name: "Backup.bkf created 10/5/2007 at 8:38 AM" Volume shadow copy creation: Attempt 1.Backup of "MIL-IT-MAIL\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group"Backup set #1 on media #1Backup description: "Set created 10/5/2007 at 8:38 AM"Media name: "Backup.bkf created 10/5/2007 at 8:38 AM" Backup Type: Normal Backup started on 10/5/2007 at 8:38 AM.The 'Microsoft Information Store' returned 'Error returned from an ESE function call (d). ' from a call to 'HrESEBackupRead()' additional data '-'The operation was ended.Backup completed on 10/5/2007 at 8:50 AM.Directories: 0Files: 1Bytes: 7,130,970,392Time: 12 minutes and 42 seconds ---------------------- The operation did not successfully complete. ---------------------- I went through some KB articles but they suggest it's due to hardware or 3rd party software but only exchange & cluster services are running on the systems so has anyone ran in tothis same issue?
