Bad files
Hi,
I have here a Small Business Server 2008 with a Exchange Server 2007. Now I get every day multiple times the following error message:
26 Apr 2012 09:25:21
Computer: [SBS2008]
Monitor: [Event Log Monitor]
Description:
* Event Time: 26 Apr 2012 08:35:53
* Source: MSExchangeTransport
* Event Log: Application
* Type: Error Event
* Event ID: 9010
* At lease one file in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\TransportRoles\Replay" cannot be processed. These files have .bad extensions. Please look for .bad files, and make sure that the content is valid.
This
tip here didn't helped me. The files always have a size of 0 KB and have the following name: GFIME_{31314B5B-0131-486F-BC7F-329067AACD22}.bad
I tried to find the message with the above ID but there is no mail with this ID.
We also use GFI MailEssentials 14.1 (see the abbrev. GFIME). What can I do against the file creation? The issue looks similar
to this topic. I hope there is a solution to this, because a few weeks ago there were no such problems and I didn't changed the configuration. Also there are some mails which can't be transmitted or received (but this can be another problem because the
error generating server changes and also the error message is different).
Thanks.

Have you opened the file and checked the SMTP address, are they in a correct format?
Can you repro the issue?
Seems to be related to GFI from the filename, can you remove this and monitor for a few days, if it all works then you've found your issue.

Hi Sukh!
There is nothing in the file (0 KB) I could look at. The issue is occurring every day (even if I delete those files). What should I remove? The bad files or GFI?
Thanks for your answer.

Hi
I would remove GFI then monitor again, it's not unsual for such incidents to occur.Sukh

The server crashed last weekend. After restart I had no bad mails anymore! Thanks for your help.
