Best method to add in Outlook delegates as Admin
I have 30-40 resource accounts that I'd like to add read-only calendar delegates to. Obviously I can login to Outlook as the resource account, go to tools-options-delegates, and add in a calendar delegate, but is this the best way? It would take a long time to do it this route. I alsotried to add 'domain users - read' under the mailbox rights section of the Active Directory account, but it didn't seem togrant enough, and I don't feel comfortable granted full mailbox access. --Thanks, Scott

I may have answered my own question. Rather than using tools-options-delegates, I can add the accounts to my Outlook profile, and expland them out in folder view. I then right-click on the calendar object for each account, and drill down to properties - permissions.Setting 'Default' to 'reviewer' on the calendar folderseems to be enough to allow staff to see detailed free/busy info and open the calendar in a read-only mode through 'open shared calendar'.

Hi Scott, Whether have you use the PFDavAdmin tool to add the permission to resource mailbox calendar folder? You can download the tool from the folloiwng site: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=635BE792-D8AD-49E3-ADA4-E2422C0AB424&displaylang=en For further information: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb508858(EXCHG.65).aspx Mike
