Block recipient email address
With 2007 Exchange Server I am trying to block a particular email recipient address that is receiving a lot of SPAM - for example the user dsample@company.com - the email getting the SPAM is david.sample@company.com, we have the user set up as the prior convention. I had come across a way to get to block recipient e-mail in 2003 Exchange Server but cannot find out the same instructions for 2007.

Two things can be done. 1) You can create a transport rule that will drop emails from or to a specific email address. Or 2) You can install the AntiSpam agents on your HUB Transports and use the filtering rules to manipulate the incoming mail. You can install the agents from the Exchsvr\Scripts directory, just open EMS, go to the scripts directory and run Install-AntiSpamAgents.ps1. These are the same filters the Edge role uses, so when you search for how to use these, any material you find for the Edge role is applicable to these agents.

hi, I think you also can use the message delivery restrictions. You can use the feature to allow your mailbox only accept message from some users that you want to allow, or you can reject message from some sender. Where to set: you can go to the EMC->recipient configuration->mailbox->right click the mailbox->properties->mail flow settings->message delivery restrictions What do you find? What's the way on exchange03? Please tell us. Hope can help you thanks, CastinLu TechNet Community Support
