But I really like the /exchange URL!
It semi pains me to ask this... a customer is desiring their OWA 2007 URL be /exchange/ instead of /owa/Not a redirect. Obviously I can just change this... I am looking for the list of reasons this might be a bad idea to move off the default to help coax a decision away from a non default URL and namespace for Exchange 2007.Any input is welcomed!

Anyway when the user connects to his/her mailbox will be redirected to OWA virtual directory, does not make sense to give more workload to the server making a redirection...CapecolMCSA - MCTS

Hi,WE have Exchange virturl directory from IIS server and that is for legacy Exchange. Besides, when we use https://.../exchange, it will redirect to https://.../OWA and let users to get OWA2007 logon page.

Yea, I realized it was working for the customer (their chief complaint was multiple auth prompts, and this was why) Marking yours as answer, although I suspect the real answer is that this is unsupported as it conflicts with the existing /exchange vdir in 2010/2007
