Bypass Deleted items folder when deleting drafts
Currently when a draft is deleted it is moved into the deleted items folder. I would like to know if there is a way to change this behavior to move deleted drafts to the dumpster.
We are using a third party application to archive and we have excluded the drafts folder however when a draft is deleted it is moved to the deleted items folder therfore archived.
Backend: Exchange 2007 Client: Outlook 2007
Thank you

If you delete draft folder by shift+ Delete then it will go into Dumpster always. But when you only delete it will go into deleted items. This is what exchange is design like.
Hope this info can help you !Anil

Thank you for you prompt response, however I am looking for a way to change/modify this beahvior so you don't have to hold the shift when deleting. Is there a way to script anything deleted from the Drafts folder are moved to the dumpster.
Thanks again

There is no way that I am aware of that you can change the default behaviour. The most you might be able to do is setup a custom action, but that is a per machine configuration which cannot be pushed out centrally.
Shift DEL is your only option.
