Hi,I've been struggling with this a couple of days now and am at a loss.I'm installing a pair of CCR exchange mail stores in a child domain as part of a new project. My CAS servers are installed and working and the AD preparation has all gone fine.I'm now at the point of setting up CCR and have configured the file share node and clustering fine. I've checked and the active mode I'm installing has made its way into the Exchange servers group. nslookup returns the right IP for the mail cluter and I can ping it. The account I'm logged into is an Enterprise admin, domain admin in both domains and and exchange admin.I did find a suggestion that I should try deploying 2 passive nodes and then upgrade one to being an active node, I'm trying this at the moment and will keep you posted.Any advice welcomed.

Thanks for the speedy reply.Just nslookup'd both nodes, the cluster name and the exchange cluster name and all are coming back correct. I did the nslookup on the node I'm installing on and on one of the DC'sThankssoops

OK, the passive mode installation on the second client went ok.I'm not uninstalling Exchange from the first node using setup \mode:uninstall \roles:m.Thats going through ok and has removed the 'amail01' services from the cluster as expected management console.I'll try and install the passive cluster onto node one shortly.

Great! Waiting for update Per my knowledge, most likely this problem is due to AD replication. We rely on AD replication during the install of Exchange cluster as we update the Exchange CMS computer account at time of installation and which has to be replicated for later use in the setup cycle. There can also be a group policy applied to the OU were the Exchange CMS computer account was pre-created which may prevent Exchange setup to successfully update the Exchange CMS computer account. After exchange CCR installation failed, we shall allow time for AD replication and verify if we can ping cluster mailbox server (amail01) with NetBIOS, FQDN and IP address. Also, verify the setting in the DNS: DNSMgmt->Forward Look up Zones-> Right-click Your Domain Zone->Properties->In the General tab, verify that the set of the Dynamic Updates is Secure Only Then re-run the installation Resources: The Exchange 2007 Cluster Continuous Replication (CCR) setup process or the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Single Copy Cluster (SCC) setup process is unsuccessful if the replication of the computer account is not completed in the scheduled time

James, thanks for the usefull reply.I am making some progress. It appears there is an issue with name resolution which I'm discussing with a colleague.I'd like to follow your advice and re-run the setup after allowing some time for AD to replicate but when I use the GUI the options are greyed out and I cannot continue the setup, from the command line it fails saying that the prvious install failed and I ecven tried using the /recovercms option from the command line but that wont work either.Am I missing a trick to re-run the setup over the top as when I uninstall it then pulls all the dns/ad entries that were made by the setup.I'm about to try adding the cluster address details to the host files on both cluster as a work aroundduring the setup...

Definatly a name resolution issue which we'll have to work on over the coming days to get to the bottom of.Good news though is that the host file work around worked so I can crack on the with Exchange testing and let my colleague work out the naming stuffHope this helps someone else out too!
