CPU
Ok don't know if I am putting this thread in the right place but I hope I find some help somewhere. I had to reformat my computer. I have done this many of times. But this is the first time I have ever encountered this problem. When my computer starts up. It has a black screen that has the system info on it and then it says,"WARNING!CPU has been changed or CPU Ratio change has not been saved. Please fix this problem or press F1 to continue." So I press F1 because I have no clue what it is really telling me. And then "Boot from CD" shows up on my screen three times and then it finally finishes the startup. Please tell me that it is jsut a simple fix. Computer is used for work as well as school work. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hi, It is probably due to a misconfiguration in the BIOS settings. Please enter into BIOS settings, and select "Load Default Settings", save, and exist. and regarding "Boot from CD", if you don't want this message, you can edit the booting preferences in BIOS. Select HDD as first booting option. Rgds, Arivu.

Hi, It seems the current issue is a hardware issue. Please understand that we mainly discuss Exchange issues in this forum. As your issue is related to motherboard, we are not the best resource to troubleshoot the issue. I suggest contacting your motherboard manufacturer for further help on this issue. Hope your issue will be fixed soon. Thanks, Elvis

It looks like the clock speed of the CPU has changed in the BIOS,ifthe CPUwas being overclocked & the BIOS defaults were loaded then it will give you a warning but that should stop after saving the setting. If you just bypass the warning by hitting the F1, you're not saving the setting. Enter the BIOS and look at the CPU settings & set them as you wish and save the settings. Depending on the motherboard, you can overclock and not get any warnings after you set your clock speed, some boards will "sense" you are overclocking and warn you because the CPU will run hotter when it is overclocked.
