CSV File Export from Android Phone won't export notes
I am trying to export contacts from an Android Phone, Samsung Galaxy S3, into Outlook 2010. However, the csv file isn't importing the all-important notes that were in the Android Phone. IT does, however, show the name of the contact and the phone number when it is opened with Excel. But, once that csv file is imported to Outlook 2010, Outlook shows only the name, leaving everything blank. Its almost as if I am losing chunks of information per step I take. Does the Export from the Galaxy S3 not send all the information? Does a csv file naturally not include the notes from the phone? I am next to clueless at this point. Any and all help is appreciated.

Not sure what you are posting the question in the Outlook forum since the issue is related to what is getting exported by/from your phone so the people in the best position to answer that question are the ones supporting your phone

If the Samsung export process doesn't provide the option of what fields get exported, then it's pretty much a case of "what you see is what you get". You said the Excel file showed <Name> & <Phone Number> but didn't mention that it showed the <Notes>. If the field doesn't exist, you need to confirm whether or not it's possible (not an Outlook question).

As for what gets imported into Outlook depends on what fields you have mapped - sounds like you did not explicitly map the fields for the import (click on the <Map Custom Fields> button during the Outlook process when the option presents itself).

Thank you for the reply, this helps point me into the right direction on trying to identify what is causing the missing information. I will be contacting Verizon soon.
