I have a mixed Exchange 2003 and 2010 environment. I only have one user on Exchange 2010, myself. I can see the calendar free /busy information for my Exchange 2003 colleages going out multiple months. They can see my free busy information going out multiple months. But from the perspective of the Exchange 2003 colleagues I'm getting inconsistent results. They can see January and February for most other 2003 users. In some cases they can see users well beyond February. It varies. If you look at these users' Outlook setting it's set to publish 12 months of information every 10 minutes. I have this hard coded for Outlook 2003 users using a GPO. I also have users on Outlook 2010, 2007. I think Outlook 2010 is 12 months and 10 minites by default. I can't recall for the Outlook 2007 users. The only way I know to force a mailbox to update their free busy information is change the setting under free / busy option change the number of months or frequency it publishes. Or launch Outlook with the /cleanfreebusy switch. Any ideas? It seems like we may have had this issue prior to my introduction of Exchange 2010, but now that I do have Exchange 2010 CAS' and users on Outlook 2010 I'm wondering if the issue is more acute. I know Outlook 2010 by default will connect to a CAS. This may have nothing to do with Exchange 2010, but public folder data should definitely be published farther out than 2 months for my Exchange 2003 users. I'm not certain how to force all my Exchange 2003 users to publich more than 2 months of data. Ideas?

Okay I was mistaken and it appears Outlook 2010 is set to 2 months publish every 10 minutes. My Outlook must have picked up what I had set in Outlook 2007 or I simply changed it at some point. So that will explain the Outlook 2010 users only publishing 2 months. However I've changed this setting to 12 months using Outlook 2010 on some Exchange 2003 mailboxes and I'm not really seeing the free/busy information increase beyond 2 or 3 months. Also my Outlook 2003/Exchange 2003 users are not all publishing out all 12 months. Sorry for the confusion. I still think I may have an issue as all Exchange 2003 / Outlook 2003 users really should be publishing 12 months of free busy... Right now I'm getting misxed results on the users I'm spot checking...
