Calendar Permissions and Issues
I've set up rooms in Exchange 2007 and I've given multiple users owner permissions to the calendars of the rooms. An "owner" user creates a meeting from their personal calendar and emails it to the room. Issue 1:The room calendar
show the meeting and all looks good at the initial view of the calendar, but the owner does not have permissions to open the entry in the calendar. The error message says "cannot open this item. Cannot open the free/busy information.
You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object. See the folder contact or the system administrator." Issue 2:An owner cancels a meeting from a public folder calendar or a room calendar. The cancellation
goes to the attendees and to the rooms/calendars, but remains in those calendars as "cancelled meeting" and still blocks out the time. I want the cancelled meetings to "auto-delete" from all room and public folders calendars.

Hi,
Please follow these steps to modify the room settings:
1. Open Exchange management shell, type:
Set-MailboxCalendarSettings RoomAlias -AutomateProcessing AutoAccept -AllRequestOutOfPolicy $fasle -allrequestinpolicy $true
2. Then run Set-MailboxCalendarSettings RoomAlai to show the properties of this room mailbox.
Make sure that the following attributes are correct:
AutomateProcessing
AutoAccept
AllRequestOutOfPolicy
false
allrequestinpolicy
true
