Calendar enabled public folder
What is the best way to create a Calendar enabled public folder. When I try to create one in Outlook it says I cant because of permissions. I inhereted this server and now do the day to day administration of it. Where and what permissions do I need to apply so I can create public folders of different types. Thanks

The best place to administer public folders is via Exchange System Manager. If you add your user to the security tab with full control you can accomplish most things via Outlook.
Many sysadmins install the Administrative Tools directly on their computer, but these should be available on the Exchange Server.
*Assuming default installation:
Remote Desktop into the Exchange Server (log-in with Admin Priveledges)
Click Start
Click All Programs
Click Microsoft Exchange
Click Exchange System Manager
Expand Administrative Groups
Expand First Administrative Group
Expand Folders
Right-Click Public Folders
Click Properties
Click the Security Tab
Add your domain account with Full Control
Click Ok
You should now be able to manage the public folders via Outlook.

You need to assign Exchange Public Folder Administrator role to your ID in Exchange 2007 SP1 Management Console.
How to Add Administrative Permissions for Users to Access Public Folders
You can manage public folder with Public Folder Management Console.
