Calendar items retention settings
Hi All, How long will the calendar items stay in calendar. Is there any setting for this?I got a query from user saying tat user is not having calendar items earlier than OCT 2008, thats around 70 days.I checked few users calendar.. looks like all of them do not have older calendar items unless they are recurring items.Thanks in advacnce for any help Shiv

Just to add one more piece of information ... there are no retention policies for calendar items

Hi Shiv,Which version of Exchange for this problem? I assume Exchange 2007.Do you have anyManaged Folder Mailbox Policyconfigured in your environment todefine the length of the retention periodin it for calendar?You may check list ofManaged Folder Policiesapplied on user with Get-Mailbox | FL command and search for the value ofManagedFolderMailboxPolicy. For Exchange 2003, you need to check whether Recipient Policy->Mailbox Manager Settings (Policy) is configured:

Hi Amit / Mike,Thanks you for your ongoing help...We are using Exchange server 2007 and we are not having any Managedfoldermailboxpolicy on this folder "Calendar". At amailbox level i see that there are no policies applied on this mailbox in MessageRecordManagement. I checked users calendar through OWA and see only recurring meetings before Nov and after Nov i see non-recurring and recurring meetings.I see a typical behavior in her calendar.Scenario: There is a recurring meeting every Friday and its been there since June 2008. When i look at outlook client i see all friday's in BOLD only in the month of December & before December they are none in BOLD. On the contrary when i check it throughOWA i see all Fridays in BOLD even when i go back till SEP or AUG."Any explanation of the above typical and crazy behavior" May be i feel its crazy because i am not aware of thelogic behind this.Thanks Shiv
