Calendar sharing between Exchange 2003 and Office365

Hello everybody,

We have an Exchange 2003 server, an Exchange 2010 and right now we're migrating users to Office365.

We have a user that we've moved to the cloud from 2003 going 2003->2010->cloud. After we've done this, the user's mail is working OK, with one exception: the user and the user's staff share a calendar where they put their meetings, all of the staff is still on 2003.

Now this user can't see the entries in calendar from the staff and if the user adds an entry, only he can see it; the staff can't.

Any tho

Hi Mauro,

From my experience (in this situation now) users can only manage calendars from within the same environment. In your example, if the calendar resides in exchange and the users are split between cloud & exchange, only the exchange users can manage. Likewise if reversed, only the cloud users can manage the calendar.

If the calendar is in exchange, the cloud users should still be able to view the calendar but to my knowledge they won't be able to update it until all in the same place.

Hi,

Agree with Robert. Please move the staff mailbox from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 or Office 365.

If the mailbox is moved to Exchange 2010 and the shared calendar is between Exchange 2010 and Office 365 organization, the Federated Trust and Sharing Policies can be set up to support calendar sharing. For more information about how Exchange 2010 SP1/Exchange Online (Office 365) organizations set up Federated Calendar Sharing, please refer to:
