Can't create new storage group
Hello, I've found a problem - I can't create new storage group. When I enter a command: new-StorageGroup -Server 'Mailbox' -Name 'testnew' -LogFolderPath 'D:\Test1\Logs' -SystemFolderPath 'D:\Test1' I receive error: Summary: 1 item(s). 0 succeeded, 1 failed. Elapsed time: 00:00:02 testnew Failed Error: Warning: An unexpected error has occurred and debug information is being generated: Exchange Management Shell command attempted: new-StorageGroup -Server 'Mailbox' -Name 'testnew' -LogFolderPath 'D:\Test1\Logs' -SystemFolderPath 'D:\Test1' Elapsed Time: 00:00:02 Also in Event Viewer I received this error: Log Name: Application Source: MSExchange Common Date: 9/15/2010 12:09:07 PM Event ID: 4999 Task Category: General Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: ExchNode1.mycompany.com Description: Watson report about to be sent to dw20.exe for process id: 9276, with parameters: E12, c-RTL-AMD64, 08.02.0176.002, powershell, M.E.Management, M.E.M.C.WmiWrapper.GetManagementObject, System.OutOfMemoryException, 8df3, 08.02.0217.002. ErrorReportingEnabled: False My system: Exchange 2007 2 nodes CCR cluster. This is a production system and it worked correctly more than 1 year. I've not made any changes before the appearance of error. Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen this error before, but it does say out of memory. How much RAM do you have in the box? What about free disk space? Mike Crowley Check out My Blog!

Hmmm!! System.OutOfMemoryException . Reboot the server and you should be fine.------Exchange, OCS------

It will be a problem =) . Server works 24*7, but if I don't find any appropriate solution - I will try.

Hi, Which rollup and SP version you have installed, Please have a look of below KB. You receive an "Event ID 4999" and an "Event ID 5000" error message when you try to mount a database on a server that is running the cluster continuous replication feature in Exchange 2007' http://support.microsoft.com/kb/962220 Finally i would also suggest you to reboot server if above post does not help in non businness hours.Anil
