Can't get newly installed Office to load from Desktop

Hi EdKop,

Could you tell me which version of Windows are you using? Did you using Windows 8?

First I suggest you check if the Office install succeed, please try these steps:

Press Win + R, type "excel.exe" in the blank box, then press Enter.

If it can open excel file, it seems that the Office install succeed.

Now please go to Start- go to Search Box- enter the module you are looking for (Word or Excel) - it will pop up in the list above. Go to Word, right click and left click on Send to.

Trying these steps and let me know if it works, Im glad to help and follow up your reply.

Regards,

I have recently purchased Office Home & Student 2013 version and followed the on line installation instructions. All seemed to go well but cannot find the icon on my computer or in File Explorer. When I go online it seems to allow me to access to the programme but I need to use it locally. Where do I go from here?
