Can't open Inf Store in ESM - Access Denied
Exchange Server 2003 SP2 on a Win2003 Server Ent. R2 server. Suddenly, when I go into ESM the information store has a Red arrow next to it. If I try to access it, I get access denied errors, either ID c1041723 or 8007005. I am logged in as Domain administrator, as always. This was fine yesterday. Nothing unusual in event viewer. I tried setting permissions as in Microsoft TA 323915 - no help. Anyone have any ideas? Al

Is the database mounted?

ESM thinks it's not - when I try to mount it, it gives one of those error codes. However, users are connecting to the Exchange server and are able to send/receive mail.

Unless your working on ESM from a workstation or a different exchagne server, it sounds like you've got much bigger issues on your hands? Have you got a good backup? Any way to take the DB offline and hit up eseutil? Also, if you have support incidents available from MS PSS, now might be a good time to use one. Otherwise, have you tried the console of the exchange server hosting the DB's in question?

Kind of silly, actually - I was logged in via terminal services as local administrator, not domain administrator. Logging in as domain administrator fixed it. My question is, should I consider this a problem or is it normal behavior? Thanks!
