Can't remove the MailEnabled PublicFolder after lose the *.edb database file from Exchange 2007 SP2
I can't remove the MailEnabled PublicFolder after lose the *.edb database file from Exchange 2007 SP2. 1. I have re-build the Public Folder Database from EMC. 2. I have removed the offline address list from EMC. 3. I can't remove the public folder database from EMC, and found few "MailEnabled" public folder recipient records from EMS command "Get-Recipient -ResultSize unlimited". 4. I have tried to use "Disable-MailPublicFolder" command from EMS, it show the information as below: Disable-MailPublicFolder : There is no existing PublicFolder that matches the following Identity: 'testing1'. Please make sure that you specified the correct PublicFolder Identity and that you have the necessary permissions to view PublicFolder. At line:1 char:25 + Disable-MailPublicFolder <<<< -Identity "testing1" + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (0:Int32) [Disable-MailPublicFolder], MapiOperationException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : 6CEC9F44,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.MapiTasks.DisableMailPublicFolder I guess this problem come from broken "MailEnabled" link from public folder. Can help me to solve it? Thanks you very much.

If I understand correct you want to remove Public folder from server where you rebuild databse. You may not delete public folder because there could be other server listed in replication list. What are you getting when use Get-PublicFolderStatistics -Server How to Remove Public Folders:: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997202(EXCHG.80).aspx http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/07/09/445967.aspxAnil

Hi, Just for info: From the error in your original post it seems that u were giving wrong public folder identity Disable-MailPublicFolder <<<< -Identity "testing1" Public folders are always referenced with full path, where '\' is the root path like this: -Identity "\testing1" Regards, Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com
