Hi, AFAIK this is possible but you have to install your certs manually on your client machines and than they will be able to login. Regards. Shafaquat Ali.M.C.I.T.P Exchange 2007/2010, M.C.I.T.P Windows Server 2008, M.C.T.S OCS Server 2007 R2, URL: http://blog.WhatDoUC.net Phone: +923008210320

Hi Best solution is to buy and deploy a certificate from a trusted provider like digicert, godaddy, verisign etc. Here's a link for you how to create the CSR http://www.digicert.com/csr-creation-microsoft-exchange-2010.htm And a link for how to install the certificate http://www.digicert.com/ssl-certificate-installation-microsoft-exchange-2010.htm Make sure you include names like: owa.extdomain.com autodiscover.extdomain.com legacy.extdomain.com (if using coexistence) servername.intdomain.local casarray.intdomain.local (if you will use cas array) Jonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

I would configure autodiscover, it's a nice feature and for ex. out of office function depends on it And yes, godaddy cert works well, have used them several of timesJonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

Hi, Yes agreed with Mr. Jonas that configure autodiscover as well because you will get alot more than anywhere. Regards. Shafaquat Ali.M.C.I.T.P Exchange 2007/2010, M.C.I.T.P Windows Server 2008, M.C.T.S OCS Server 2007 R2, URL: http://blog.WhatDoUC.net Phone: +923008210320

Hi, The self-certificate can be used for autodiscover and Outlook Anywhere. If external client connects to Exchange server by using Outlook Anywhere, you need to install the self-certificate on the client's computer manually. Thus, this brings the trouble to the client user. But for the third party certificate, that should not be the issue. Thanks Allen

Yes, and it's a question about cost vs time, either buy a certificate and you won't have to worry so much about it or handle the selfsigned and it will take time for deploying the cert and issues will appear in some ways Jonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

Hi Jonas, yes is a very interesting feature, but I forgot to say that actually we have Outlook 2003 clients and I have understood they don´t take adventage from autodiscovery isn´t it?Felx
