A year or two ago, I downloaded Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Basic 2010 to my old Win XP computer.  Now that XP is no longer supported, I would like to move them to my new Win 8 computer and ditch the XP machine.  I hope there is a permissible way to de-install the old programs and re-download them onto the new computer, but I have no idea how to do so.  Microsoft would charge me $499 for one-time tech support as they tell me I have no free tech support.
