Can not complete the Exchange Server Information store backup
Hi, When we are trying to take exchange backup it is reaching to a specific point & failing. Backup report says "The 'Microsoft Information Store' returned 'Error returned from an ESE function call" Application event viewer shows the following information Source - ESE Catagory - Logging/Recovery Event ID - 478 Information Store (3152) The streaming page read from the file "%informationstore%\priv1.stm" at offset 2217525248 (0x00000000842cc000) for 4096 (0x00001000) bytes failed verification due to a page checksum mismatch. The expected checksum was 2175311082 (0x0000000081a89cea) and the actual checksum was 2376237236 (0x000000008da280b4). The read operation will fail with error -613 (0xfffffd9b). If this condition persists then please restore the database from a previous backup. Suggestions are welcome

Yes, in most cases, the issue is caused by the third party software, just like anti-virus, firewall, ect Please disable them and test the issue. Please follow Amits suggestion and let us know the result. If the issue persists, please let us know your Exchange version and paste the backup log here for our further discussion. The Backupxx.log files in the folder ''C:\Documents and Settings\administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\WindowsNT\NTBackup\data''. Thank you, Elvis
