Can not connect to smtp server
Hello Amit,I am working on outlook 2007 installed on windows server 2008 enterprise edition.Please help i am testing my smtp banner at mxtoolbox.com and it gives me error on "Timeout accourd due to the inactivity" and after if scan the prot it says timeout on all the port too strating from port 21.... I just want to confirm that it is with due the ISP or i have to change some setting at my server stuck for last couple of days.

Hi,Can you telnet to the server on port 25 from the local LAN - if no the problem can only be on the server (like the firewall on the server).Leif

Thanks for the reply :)Yes i can telnet from LAN on port 25. actually all the emails for intranet is working properly it is only the isssue for not receiving email from diffrent domains(say yahoo or hotmail) i can send to these domain and it will received with in 30 seconds.Any advise please tell how to talk to verizon about this issue they dont undterstand it.

Thank You Elvis it is working now, Please write your comments how i can import third party emails in to my exchange server(i have third party email system want to import all the org email accounts).
