Can users archive their own messages from OWA
Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong place - I debated wether it should go in the Clients section.I am about to migrate from Exchange 2003 to 2007 and I have several users that have very large mailboxes, the worst one being 6.7gb.I want to reduce this by introducing quotas however, I have to provide a means of allowing users to archive their older messages before I can set a lower quota. My main aim is to maintain efficiency of the sever by keeping the database size down. The majority of our users have to use OWA for access and I am hoping that there is some way that I can allow individual users to archive without the need for admin access.Thanks.Chris

Users can't archive to PST from OWA.Where do you propose to archive this 6.7GB user's email to? If all you plan on doing is to make PST files and store them on a file share I would suggest you left things as they are. If you are planning on implementing an archiving solution then fine, but that's nothing to do with the user per-se because you set it up centrally.Just trying to save yourself some space and effort.
