Can you run two Operating Systems at once?
Okay, first I am not a computer idiot. I am CS major in college. I am considering building a desktop here soon and want to run Windows 7 Ultimate and KUbuntu at the same time. I do not mean through Dual-Boot and shut down and restart or with virtualization
and run one inside the other, I mean actually run Windows 7 and KUbuntu at the same time and be able to use them both on different monitors without having two separate computers. I know it would be more practical to use two separate computers,
but think of this as a project of mine. I am curious if it will work and I want to make it work. So again, can you run two Operation Systems at once?

I hate to sounds like a smart-ass, but if you're a CS Major and don't know what a typical computer can do, well, since you don't want to Dual Boot, don't want to virtualize, then you should consider another major.

I have Dual-Booted and vitrualized. I am just looking into new things. I am a CS major for a reason, I like to experiment. I am not sure if it possible. I do not know much about computer hardware as most of what I know about computers is self-taught.
I just want to to be able to utilize the best parts of both Operating Systems with out the down sides to either.
EDIT: And sorry for posting this here, it has nothing to do with Exchange Servers, but I did not realize how large this forum is. I cannot move it now.

Unless you can find a board with Dual CPU's and separate memory per CPU, I don't think you have a chance - I've not seen anything like this except in Mini-Computers decades ago.
