Cannot Archive Emails into PST

Hello,

I have an end user who was moved to O365 (Office 2013) and when he tries to archive his sent items for 2008, Outlook begins to processes the request to archive them but nothing shows up under his PST.  Not sure if woth mentioning but he still has Office 2010 installed as well

Any ideas as to why this may be occuring?

I have tried to move my emails to a test PST on my machine and it has worked. We have tried running a Quick Repair and an Online Repair but the emails do not seem to be archived into their PST's.

Assistance would be greatly appreciated

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Thank you,

Hello,

I am not sure why my last post was reported but I wanted to ask if anyone had any idea as to why a user would not be able to move emails to their PSTs?

Please see below for my orginal post.

Hi,

Are you using AutoArchive or manually archive?

By default, Archiving works based on the modified date of an item. The modified date may be changed by a virus scanner, which may cause the archive to not work. We can change the Archive feature to function on the send/receive time instead of the modified date by adding the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Preferences

DWORD: ArchiveIgnoreLastModifiedTime

Value: 1

After modifying the registry, please test the issue again.

In addition, if the archive.pst file is corrupt, it may also cause archive to not work. We can try to create a new pst file and then try archiving to the new PST file to see the result.

Hope this helps.
