Cannot access Web Server externally
I have had an epic weekend trying to set up web server 08 and too no avail, this is what I have it down to if any body can help me - or point me in the right direction. The IP my ISP is currently loaning me (I am on Dynamic IP) is 92.232.xx.xxMy server at home is 192.168.1.40 So i set up IIS 7 and have a default website under 192.168.1.40:80 - if I type this on a computer on the same network - it works. If i type 92.232.xx.xx:80 from a network computer - nothing.I have a linksys router - ports are forwarded correctly. I can connect to my FTP using CLI - not the windows explorer (but thats another story) and I can access FTP remotely via CLI.But the website will not work using external IP on network or remotely. I get a website not found error. Thanks in advance, Smithy

Hi Smithy, Please understand that we mainly discuss Exchange issues in this forum, in order to get a prompt and exact answer, I suggest writing a post on the Windows Server forums: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/winservergen/threads/ Thanks, Elvis
