Cannot add contacts or calendar appointments offline
Exchange 2010, Outlook 2010
Someone using this combination can apparently compose emails in Outlook 2010 that queue offline (and then can be sent once connected) but cannot add contacts or calendar appointments when Outlook 2010 is offline.
Is this normal?
It's not me (not using either yet) so I don't know about SP level but could find out.

Hi,
Per my test I can add contacts and meeting request when the outlook 2010 works offline.
What's the error message you get when you do the above operation?
Does the outlook 2010 use cached mode? Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

Thank you Jason.
Just getting back to this...
His error message is: ‘Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action”
He says it is indeed in Outlook Cached mode.

Hi,
In "Send/Receive" TAB you can find "Work Offline" button. When you press this button "work offline" with red cross will appear at status bar. Then try adding the contact. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Thank you Jason.
I've shared your proposed solution with the person who asked. I do not know when they will be able to confirm that it worked or not (summer, may be on vacation, maybe just gave up on it - we will see).
Thanks once again.
