Cannot connect Outlook 2010 to Microsoft Exchange 2000
Hi,
My outlook 2010 won't connect to Exchange 2000 because it is an unsupported version. What is the best way around this?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Downgrade your client to Outlook 2007 Upgrade Exchange to 2003 SP2, Exchange 2007 SP2/SP3, or Exchange 2010 RTM/SP1
Use Exchange 2000 Outlook Web Access

You are trying to use an Outlook client that is 10 years newer than the Exchange version. It is not supported. You can check out the following Supportability Matrix. This will show what products are currently supported and with what version
of Exchange (look at Clients section). Note that Exchange 2000 doesn't even make the list because it has reached end of life and is no longer supported.

Tim, the matrix does still show Exchange 2000 SP3 (under the Clients section). I guess this is still under extended support?

Hi,
had the same problem here.
However... since I just use Exchange 2000 to send and receive mails, I've developed a simple Python script that changes some responses from server to client, and it's working.
let me know if you still need it (polido at gmail dot com)
