I am using Outlook 2013. I had a custom folder that I no longer need and deleted it. Now it sits in the deleted items folder, but I cant empty the "deleted Items". See error.  I have restarted outlook, rebooted machine, moved back and forth the folder and no luck. even changed the security settings granting full access. None of that worked. Weird thing is that I had another folder I deleted at the same time and that worked fine.

So, if I got to deleted items and right click - delete the folder, I get this error.

If I try empty the folder, I get this error.

Do you have OWA access to your mailbox? If so log in via a web browser and try deleting the folder from there.

Ok, I would suggest you create a new mail profile, but ensure Cached Exchange mode is disabled before you log in to this new profile. Open Outlook using the new profile and try deleting the folder again.

If this works it suggests your current mail profile is corrupt
