Hello everyone,

During the last week I was trying to re-install  Microsoft Office 2010 Professional without result. I was previously unistall Microsoft office 2010 with success and when I tried to installed it again a probelm occured. I run the .exe file, it started installing the application but when the processing bar became full a message appeared saying that "A problem occured and the Microsoft Office couldnt installed". It didnt specified what exactly was the problem. I did this mutiple of times without result. Can anybody knows why this happened ? Is there any solution? In the past I didnt have such a problem with the installation of Office.

Office Setup automatically creates log files in your %Temp%   folder. The log files have names that are similar to the following:

The log file that has the highest number is the log file for the  most recent time that you ran Setup.

Can you check the logs and post information regarding this problem?

What is the directory of the log files?

Hi Maria,

The error 1603 is usually caused by the previous programs. Please try to remove all the previous versions of Office program, and then try to install the Office program again.

A normal uninstallation usually will have some remnants which might cause the problem. Please try to run Microsoft Fix It to complete remove traces from your computer, then try again.
