Cannot mount new Mail Store
Hi
I have been having problems with Auto Accept Agent which is not Accepting meeting requestes automatically anymore. After spend way too much time trying to resolve the AAA problem we have deceide to build a new exchange server and move all the mailboxes over
then add the AAA back on again.
I have build a new Server 2003 SP2 R2 Enterprise Edition then installed all the available updates, then I installed Exchange 2003 and SP2.
Everything looks peachy untill I try to mount the mail store.
I get following error : "The store could not be mounted because the Active Directory information was not replicated yet. You can either - Press Canel and mount the store later from its context menu or, press retry to let the Exchange System Manager keep
trying to mount the store for you."
Event log shows the following :

The only time I've seen that is when there are multiple domain controllers in the site and replication hasn't completed yet. In fact, it's very frequently encountered in such cases. When I scripted server builds, I had to accommodate such delays.
If the delay is more than a few minutes, then you might want to be sure that your domain controllers are replicating properly. Make sure that the mailbox database shows up when connecting to each of your DCs.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi guys
Thanks for the reply's and suggestions, I have seen those KB's before and followed the steps but still get the same problem.
Ed I made sure that replication between all my DC's are setup correclty and replication is completing to all sites but still can't mount the mailstore.
I did notice that I do not have a System Mailbox for each mail store I have on my current exchange servers, could that be what caused the AAA to stop working in the first place and why I can't mount the new servers mail store ?

It's likely a permissions issue, I would first try to run the MS Exchange troubleshooting assistant to see if it can yield additional info as to why it can't mount.

Also see if below is configured.
Method 2: Add the Exchange Servers group to the "Manage auditing and security log" policy
To add the Exchange Servers group to the Manage auditing and security log policy, follow these steps:
Log on to a domain controller by using an account that has administrative rights.
Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click
Domain Controller Security Policy. In the Default Domain Controller Security Settings Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in, expand
Local Policies, and then click User Rights Assignment.
In the right pane, double-click Manage auditing and security log.
In the Manage auditing and security log Properties dialog box, click
Add User or Group. In the User and group names box, type <var>DomainName</var>\Exchange Servers, and then click
OK two times. Exit the Default Domain Controller Security Settings MMC snap-in, and then wait for this security setting to propagate across the domain controllers in the domain.
Restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service.

Hi
I have gone through all the links and still get the same results. I see that the Priv1.edb file is not created.
The Exchange troubleshooter does return some results, Can I mail to you ?

Hi
I noticed now that if I create a new storage group on my existing mail server and try to mount the mail store I get the same error, so the problem is not with my server but with my domain or forest, any ideas ?
Thanks

Hi Guys
I have Finally got the mail store to mount. I noticed that I was not able to mount any new mail store on the domain.
On the new exchange server I extracted the Exchange 2003 SP2 files.
I then ran Upgrade.com /domainPrep and Upgrade.com /forestPrep
Then I restarted the server and the mail stores mounted and the Priv1.ebd files created.
So that solved one part of my problem, next to get the AAA working again for my resource mailboxes I installed Auto Accept Agent on the new server. I tried moving my resource mailbox over
to the new server and see if the AAA will work but no such luck.
I have to now export all the data from the current resource mailboxes, recreate the mailbox on the new server and then import the data back to the resource mailbox. Once all the resource
mailboxes have been moved and the data imported, I have to register the resource mailboxes on the new server for AAA and then rebuild the GAL and OAB so all the user will see the new mailboxes.
This has been one of the most annoying problems I've ever had, and all because of the Auto Accept Agent. I really hope this problem is solved or easier to solve with Exchange 2010.
Thanks for all the help guys.
