I have Exchagne 2003 and Outlook 2007 On certain messages I see "This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane. Open the item to read its contests." when I double click the message I am told "Cannot open this item." I cannot open and look at the item through OWA either, but I can view the message on android or iphone with exchange sync and forward the message to myself then it will open. if I configure outlook in cached mode I do not recieve the errors but the message will be blank. At one time I thought I had it narrowed down to messages with a "~" in them since I had this problem occur and we removed the ~ and resent the message and then it was readable. that solution has worked from several senders. however I have tried reproducing the results and when I try to produce the error the message comes through just fine. Hopefully someone has an idea about how to resolve this issue.

Hi, You need to help to confirm below information: Is there any third-party add-in in your Oulook, if there is, remove it and have a try. Suggest that upgrade your Exchange 2003 Server to the latest like sp2. You mentioned only certain message can produce this problem, what is the type of these problematic emails? Do they have special form or something else?Best Regards!
