Cannot run Office

I (stupidly) purchased a Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 CD with product key and installed it on my son's PC.

Despite creating a Microsoft Account for him and activating with the product key, it will not run.

It says the account isn't associated with the product, even though I have gone to his account and it tells me there that it is! 

I have tried installing it from the CD, downloading it from his account, running as an administrator, repairing it, turning the anti virus off... I am at my wit's end and so very, very frustrated!

This is now Day 4 and he needs this product (unfortunately) for one of his school courses.

How do I fix this?

Hi,

I understand it's frustrating as the product can't be activated, but in this forum we mainly discuss questions about Office client, we don't have access to your Microsoft Account or the product key status, I suggest you contact your local customer service, explain the situation and probably you will get the appropriate assistance:
